The works are shaped by a deliberate relationship between darkness, light, and spatial emptiness. Luminous structures emerge from deep black, condense, dissolve again, or appear to float freely within the pictorial space. Central to the images is the absence of a reliable sense of scale. Nothing clearly determines whether we are looking at something immediately close or immeasurably distant. Material structures can therefore evoke microscopic processes as readily as cosmic space, without settling into either interpretation.
Their effect arises from the relationship between density and vastness. The more isolated a form becomes within the darkness, the more it loses its familiar scale and spatial location. What remains visible becomes a fragment of something larger - precisely present, yet surrounded by an indeterminate sense of distance.
